Breaking: Curtis Sliwa Blasts 'Anti-Cop' Kamillah Hanks and 'Ambulance Chaser' Mike McMahon
Sliwa Says He May 'Move to Staten Island Next Week' to Get a Candidate on the Ballot Against Kamillah Hanks
Curtis Sliwa and Kamillah Hanks used to be friends. Not anymore.
Earlier today, Curtis Sliwa took to the airwaves and attacked NYC Councilmember Kamillah Hanks for being Anti-Cop.
Using her name almost interchangeable with “Cackling” Kamala Harris, Sliwa blasted Hanks for signing a report calling for the shrinking of the NYPD by almost 2,000 officers, which would bring the NYPD to its lowest level in 50 years.
Sliwa says Hanks has big problems with crime in her district, with the 120 Precinct reporting a 34% increase and the 122 Precinct reporting a 54% increase.
The Radio host was apoplectic, reporting NYC Councilmember Kamillah Hanks, Chair of the Public Safety Committee, signed off on potentially 2,000 cops getting the ax while NYC crime was hitting record levels.
Sliwa shared his disdain for “Ambulance Chaser” Staten Island District Attorney Mike McMahon, who, he claims, gave misleading information about the safety of the district in recent press statements.
Questioning where the Staten Island Republican Party was, Sliwa said he was shocked that they were not fielding a candidate against Hanks or McMahon in the upcoming elections this fall.
The Guardian Angels founder hinted he “may be living on Staten Island next week,” vowing to qualify a Republican Candidate for the November ballot against Hanks.
“I don’t know what Tannousis is doing. Sam Pirozzolo won last year because voters remembered him after the 2021 City Council race. Joe Tirone should be doing the same thing if he wants to win the State Senate seat next year. This has been our problem with the lawyers that become the Party Leaders. As soon as they get there, they stop caring about every election except their own one to the bench,” an unnamed Republican County Committee member said under condition of anonymity.
The County Committee member complained that Michael Tannousis and Anthony Reinhardt “gave away” two judgeships in exchange for former SI GOP Leader Brendan Lantry’s judgeship last year, in a year where Republicans would have taken all three at the November polls.
“Judy McMahon and the other Democrat got 70% of their votes on the Republican line. It makes you wonder if Tannousis isn’t clearing the way for a cross-endorsement when he runs for judge,” the unnamed source said.
The source continued, “If Pee Wee Herman was a Republican Lawyer, he would get on the ballot and be the next Staten Island District Attorney. All of this is happening because Andy Lanza is related to Mike McMahon by marriage.”
Kamillah Hanks is embattled, recently being sued by former Staten Island Attorney Richard Luthmann for over $87,000 in unpaid fees. Luthmann claims she and her paramour Kevin Barry Love are “deadbeats.”
Love charged Luthmann’s allegations an “outrageous vulgar lie,” and said, “missing from his lawsuit is not a single piece of evidence.”
Subsequent media reports show Kevin Barry Love is a liar, and Luthmann has a mountain of evidence, including filed court documents.
“Kevin and Kamillah are running around Staten Island, telling anyone who will listen that they have ‘enemies’ out to ‘destroy’ them. Their enemies are their two big mouths. The evidence I plan to show reveals these two are deadbeats,” Luthmann said.
“Curtis Sliwa has always been a wild card, and this time he could have a winning hand on Staten Island’s North Shore if things break his way,” said an unnamed New York City political consultant source. “Kamillah Hanks is going to have campaign finance issues, and those troubles could become Mayor Eric Adams’ if he campaigns with her,” the source said.
Stay tuned as this story develops.

The news media is a critical check on the powerful, serving as a watchdog to hold elected officials and other public figures accountable for their actions. The media was first called the fourth estate in 1821 by Edmund Burke, who wanted to point out the power of the press. The press plays a crucial role in providing citizens with access to information about what is happening in government, as well as shining a light on corruption, abuse of power, and other forms of wrongdoing.
