BREAKING: Luthmann Files Suit Against NY Councilmember Kamillah Hanks, Campaign, and "Paramour" Kevin Love
Alleges Hanks' Commissioned Luthmann's "Fake Facebook" Page in 2017 Elections; Skirted 2018 Grand Jury Testimony
Earlier today, Richard Luthmann’s lawyers filed a lawsuit against NYC Councilwoman Kamillah Hanks, Kamillah Hank’s Campaign Committee, and her “paramour” and “agent-in-fact” Kevin Love.
Luthmann alleges failure to pay fees stemming from Hanks’ 2017 City Council bid. “Mr. Luthmann obtained outstanding results for Councilmember Hanks, Mr. Love, and the Hanks Campaign, all of whom have failed to pay for the good and valuable services rendered,” the filed court documents said.
Luthmann claims he was engaged to perform legal work related to getting rival candidate Phil Marius thrown off the 2017 Primary Election Ballot. Luthmann claims he performed $43,282.14 worth of election and political law work and was never paid by Kamillah Hanks or her campaign. Luthmann also alleges the work was never reported to the New York City Campaign Finance Board in violation of the NYC Charter, Administrative Code, and CFB Rules.
Luthmann also claims he was promised $25,000 to create a “Fake Facebook” page lampooning Hanks’ 2017 candidate Debi Rose. Luthmann alleges he made a deal with Kevin Love, Hanks’ live-in paramour, with Hanks’ full knowledge. Luthmann claims Love agreed to pay the bulk of the money “in cash.”
Luthmann claims Hanks knew all about Luthmann’s Fake Facebook work against District Attorney Michael E. McMahon in 2015 and on behalf of then-Assemblyman Ronald Castorina, Jr., against candidate Janine Materna in 2016.
“If I’m a felon for Fake Facebook, these people are too. Everyone knows two things don’t pay: crime and judges. Here, we have Queen Crime and Judge Pinocchio, but I’m the only one who wore bracelets.” - Richard Luthmann
Luthmann’s filing attaches Facebook messages and the grand jury testimony of Ronald Castorina, Jr., related to Luthmann’s later Fake Facebook indictment.
“Castorina’s testimony directly contradicts Facebook Messenger messages between Castorina and Mr. Luthmann and telephone records that were offered into evidence and presented to the grand jury; Castorina’s sworn testimony was suborned by Special Richmond County District Attorney Eric Nelson,” the filing says.
Ronald Castorina, Jr. is now a New York State Supreme Court in Staten Island, New York.
Luthmann claims he also has Facebook Messages with Hanks.
Luthmann claims Hanks and Love paid a “small fortune” to quash a subpoena issued by Special Richmond County District Attorney Eric Nelson.
“Councilmember Hanks fought the 2018 grand jury subpoena tooth and nail. Because of her knowledge and acquiescence of Mr. Luthmann’s political dirty tricks, if Councilmember Hanks admitted complicity under oath, she would have had legal and political fallout,” the filed papers said.
Luthmann’s attorneys sent “spoliation letters” to several New York City politicos, including Diane J. Savino (former State Senator and current Special Assistant to Mayor Eric Adams), Scott Levinson (political consultant and principal of The Advance Group), Michael Cox (political consultant and former Republican state committeeman), and former Hanks Campaign treasurer Lok Yung. The letter to Yung stated:
Of particular importance are your dealings with Kamillah Hanks, the Kamillah Hanks Campaign Committee, and Kevin Barry Love including but not limited to the billing records and the work performed on their behalf. Also, the conversations and interactions that you had with Kevin Barry Love as a de facto agent of Kamillah Hanks and the Kamillah Hanks Campaign are significant, as is the conduct of said parties in relation to the payment (or lack thereof) of the political consulting services of Michael Cox. Upon information and belief, you may have information on these issues, as well as other important issues, including when Kevin Barry Love took Michael Cox “for a ride” just after Michael Cox’s heart attack in what smacks of a shakedown or the intentionally erroneous filing of JASON REYNARD as JASON REYNALD in the CFB filings to avoid a W-9, other reporting, and press scrutiny. It is also extremely relevant how often you saw Richard Luthmann, Michael Cox, Scott Levenson, Priscilla Marco, Diane Savino, and others at or around the campaign office in 2017, and anything that might have been said or any interactions that might have been had.
Luthmann also says Michael Cox was never paid for his work as a consultant on the Hanks Campaign.
Scott Levenson, who the NYC Campaign Finance Board previously fined for “shenanigans” relating to work never reported on Melissa Mark-Viverito’s campaign, may very well be in the hot seat. The filing said:
Scott Levenson knows Michael Cox was a consultant on the Hanks Campaign because the two had a meeting at Sparks Steak House. Upon information and belief, there is a record of their conversation. Scott Levenson knows Jason Reynard was a consultant for the Hanks Campaign because Scott Levenson hired Jason Reynard. Scott Levenson also knew the Hanks Campaign fraudulently misrepresented Jason Reynard’s name as “JASON REYNALD” on the NYCCFB reports because Reynard had a pending Arizona gun charge at the time; Reynard was dating Councilmember Hanks’s daughter Nadia; and to avoid a 1099 and NYS income taxes.
Luthmann claims he and Cox are not alone. According to the filing, Hanks failed to pay at least seven (7) of her campaign workers, while Love paid relatives in cash.
Luthmann also alleges Hanks owns a company named KPH Consulting, Inc. “KPH stands for Kamillah Payne-Hanks. Upon information and belief, KPH Consulting, Inc. is a device used in Mr. Love’s schemes to profit from his paramour, Councilwoman Hank’s public office,” the filing said.
Luthmann also said that Hanks never paid for Luthmann’s services when he sued to ensure her daughter, Nadia Hanks would graduate from LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts. “The conversations had with Mr. Love and Councilwoman Hanks were about the potential poor reflection on Councilwoman Hanks that her daughter wasn’t graduating high school. It was suggested that the lawsuit would be paid for, possibly from the Hanks Campaign funds,” the lawsuit alleges.
Luthmann seeks judgment in the sum of $86,175.38, plus costs, fees, and statutory interest from June 18, 2017, against Hanks, her Campaign, and Love.
Luthmann claims the lawsuit is for the benefit of creditors, including the US Government.
Luthmann released a statement: “If I’m a felon for Fake Facebook, these people are too. Everyone knows two things don’t pay: crime and judges. Here, we have Queen Crime and Judge Pinocchio, but I’m the only one who wore bracelets.”
NOVEMBER IS COMING
November is Coming. Who will survive?
I wonder if Amoy Barnes is still looking at Queen Crime’s seat.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Is there more? Of course, there is more.
Remember, Mr. Luthmann is now a LAW ABIDING CITIZEN. He is also a writer, commentator, satirist, investigative journalist, and a proud member of the National Writers Union.
There will be many more Enemies to receive their comeuppance. What new Enemies will show their faces and then be shown the Luthmann Inquisition followed by the legal and political Death Chamber? Which members of the Swamp should be worried? What other persons may become collateral damage in this story? And who exactly is on “THE LIST” Luthmann spent the past four years making?
Stay tuned—much more to come.
We welcome all comments.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant. We can shine a light on Pirates and Scallywags and watch the cockroaches scurry in every direction. Also, drop me a line if you are a victim of The Swamp of corrupt politicians, lawyers, judges, or corrupt courts. We are especially looking for stories about the Staten Island Swamp. Corrupt lawyers, judges, and government officials are all within bounds. Let us know.

The press plays a crucial role in providing citizens with access to information about what is happening in government and shining a light on corruption, abuse of power, and other forms of wrongdoing. The news media is a critical check on the powerful, serving as a watchdog to hold elected officials and other public figures accountable for their actions. The media was first called the fourth estate in 1821 by Edmund Burke, who wanted to point out the power of the press.
