Luthmann's June 1 Fake Facebook Hearing Before Brooklyn Judge Donald Leo
Illegal Plea Was Discussed With Frank Morano On March 31, 2022
Anyone that knows anything about the law and the courts knows that the bullshit takes forever. Especially in New York, where it is a political free-for-all and justice has been missing for some time.
I have been asked not to discuss certain people and things by the federal authorities because I might compromise ongoing investigations.
But this does not mean that I cannot talk about Luthmann. Here is a classic from Frank Morano’s show back in March 2022.
The issue involved is the issue before Brooklyn Judge Donald Leo on June 1 about the illegal plea in Luthmann’s Fake Facebook case.
If Luthmann is successful, the plea gets thrown out, and he gets to go back to pre-trial status.
With three years of jail credit under his belt, Luthmann is in a no-lose situation, and he will go to trial. And let it be known: Luthmann doesn’t care if he wins or loses. He only cares about perjury traps for the witnesses he will subpoena and who will be legally obligated to appear, many of whom are elected officials and/or attorneys.
Here’s a preview of the witness list in the Fake Facebook case, which may happen by the end of the summer with speedy trial rules:
Michael Ryan, Commissioner of the New York City Board of Elections, Former Democrat Party Candidate for Richmond County District Attorney, Attorney at Law, and Democrat Party Operative.
Joseph Borelli, New York City Council Minority Leader (Republican Party) and Republican Party Operative.
Ronald Castorina, Jr., New York State Supreme Court Justice (Republican Party), Former New York State Assemblyman, Attorney at Law, and Republican Party Operative.
Ashleigh Owens, Chief of Staff of the Richmond County District Attorney’s Officer, Attorney at Law, Former Staffer for Democrat Senator James Webb, and Democrat Party Operative.
Michael E. McMahon, District Attorney for Richmond County, New York, Former Congressman for the Democrat Party loyal to Nancy Pelosi, Former New York City Councilman, Attorney at Law, and Democrat Party Operative.
John P. Gulino, Staten Island Democrat Party Leader Emeritus, Attorney at Law, Democrat Party Operative, SAG Member, and Mob Lawyer in Steven Segal movies.
Debi Rose, an effective New York City Councilwoman for Staten Island’s North Shore for over a decade, a longtime community activist, and leader.
Stuart Brenker, longtime Staten Island Democrat Party Operative and tanning aficionado.
Janine Materna, failed New York State Assembly Candidate, failed New York City Council Candidate, Former Democrat Party Member, Attorney at Law, and #Bitter person.
And let’s not forget a very special witness. She paid a “small fortune” to avoid the grand jury in 2018. But she won’t be able to avoid a Luthmann subpoena - it’s NYC Councilwoman “Cut It”:
There’s a lot to unpack here, so stay tuned.
Richard Luthmann is a writer, commentator, satirist, and investigative journalist with degrees from Columbia University and the University of Miami. Once a fixture in New York City and State politics, Luthmann is a recovering attorney who lives in Southwest Florida and a proud member of the National Writers Union. I write about criminal justice, courts, prisons, and reform.
"Nihil est incertius vulgo, nihil obscurius voluntate hominum, nihil fallacius ratione tota comitiorum.” (Nothing is more unpredictable than the mob, nothing more obscure than public opinion, nothing more deceptive than the whole political system.)
~ Marcus Tullius Cicero
The news media is a critical check on the powerful, serving as a watchdog to hold elected officials and other public figures accountable for their actions. The media was first called the fourth estate in 1821 by Edmund Burke, who wanted to point out the power of the press. The press plays a crucial role in providing citizens with access to information about what is happening in government, as well as shining a light on corruption, abuse of power, and other forms of wrongdoing.
