Dear sir Craig Coughlin

My name is Renee Kitani, and I am writing not just as a concerned citizen, but as a grandmother and advocate for constitutional rights and family justice. I am reaching out to bring to light the severe abuses of power, political corruption, and judicial misconduct happening within the Morris County, New Jersey family court system — abuses that are devastating children and families.

My daughter, Cristin Isaacson-Badal, formerly of Mendham, New Jersey, has been the target of a coordinated legal attack, aided by a judiciary that has shown blatant disregard for constitutional protections and fairness.

Cristin has been stripped of her First Amendment rights (the right to petition the courts without retaliation) and her Fourteenth Amendment rights (due process and equal protection under the law). The court has disregarded N.J.S.A. 9:2-4, which guarantees a child's right to continuing and meaningful relationships with both parents. Instead, they have sanctioned a complete alienation — isolating Cristin from her child, weaponizing the courts to exhaust her emotionally and financially, and gaslighting her through a process designed not for justice, but for political ambition.

For over two and a half years, Cristin’s ex-husband has been permitted to move the child to Florida, selling the family home with court approval — all while the New Jersey judiciary fails to issue enforceable parenting orders or respect Florida’s constitutional standards, which require supervised orders to be reviewed every six months. No review has occurred. No rights have been protected. This situation has violated not only New Jersey law, but Florida constitutional protections as well.

The political connections between the involved parties and local elected officials, including those currently serving in the Legislature, make it clear that Cristin — and my grandchild — have been treated as collateral damage in the pursuit of political protection and personal gain.

This is not an isolated incident. Across New Jersey, particularly in politically powerful regions like Morris County, family courts are operating in the shadows — allowing political relationships to dictate outcomes, violating constitutional rights, and destroying families without oversight or accountability.

I am documenting these injustices. I am building a public record. And I am calling on independent voices, ethical leaders, advocacy groups, and the media to join me in exposing and ending this abuse.

Specifically, I ask:

That an immediate investigation be launched into the influence of political relationships on judicial outcomes in Morris County Family Court;

That legislation be supported to create independent oversight and accountability mechanisms for New Jersey’s family courts;

That constitutional protections for parents and children be strengthened, enforced, and shielded from political interference.

The eyes of the public are opening. Families across New Jersey — and across the country — are standing up. We will not allow our courts to be used as weapons of political retaliation any longer.

I am prepared to provide documentation, testimony, and evidence to any credible agency, advocate, or investigative journalist willing to take up this cause.

Thank you for your time, your courage, and your commitment to restoring justice for all families — not just the politically connected.

Sincerely, Renee Kitani Grandmother and Family Advocate for Family Court Reform

Please note that your requests for oversight and protection legislation may be considered but the Legislature cannot initiate an investigation. In accordance with the ethics rules of the Legislature, our office (or any legislative office) is not permitted to interfere in judicial issues, provide legal advice, or recommend council.

Does ANYONE believe Katie Hobbs got more votes for governor than Kari Lake? She was surely installed by money from the likes of George Soros, et al.

100% agree with Tom. They stole the election from Kari and unless election reform happens before 2026, they will steal it from Biggs as well.

Keep up the good work!

"If you are walking on to the pirate ship that calls itself THE DOMESTIC RELATIONS DIVISION, don't walk in there believing you have any rights. You are walking on to a ship run by a murderous gang of kidnappers and thieves. The only use they have for the law is to trick or scare you into giving them everything you have. Whoever ran on to the pirate ship with your children is either a reckless, wanton, or willful participant in kidnapping and extortion. There are no BUT WHAT IFS when discussing this gang. There is NO PARENT as dangerous to children as this rico cartel mob.
