"Designer Child Trafficker" Daniel Nottes Pushes for Jail Time for "Parental Alienation Warrior" Dave Weigel Amidst Allegations of "Fear"
Citing Fears for His Life, Nottes Demands Virtual Court Appearance as He Accuses Columbia Business School Grad of "Threatening" Behavior
By Richard Luthmann
In a dramatic development in Manhattan Family Court, attorney Daniel B. Nottes, previously labeled a "Designer Child Trafficker" by detractors, has requested protective measures and the possible incarceration of David Weigel, a Parental Alienation Warrior and salutatorian of Columbia University Business School. Nottes' plea to the court stems from his declared fear for his safety in the face of Weigel's intense criticism and activism against what he calls a corrupt family court system.
Weigel says Nottes’ claims are self-preservation for his alleged highly unethical actions that smack upon the criminal.
Call to Action - Friday at 3:00 pm EDT: Protective parents and individuals concerned about judicial transparency and fairness are encouraged to observe the unfolding legal battle. Interested parties can view the live court proceedings via the following link - Live Court Appearance - to witness firsthand the claims of "Designer Child Trafficking" and the heated exchanges between Nottes and Weigel.

Daniel B. Nottes sent an urgent email to Judge Tandra Dawson, expressing his concerns.
"Mr. Weigel posted to his public Facebook page a statement that could be perceived as a threat," Nottes wrote, referring to Weigel's comment about making a public spectacle akin to one associated with Donald Trump for media attention. Nottes added, "Given Mr. Weigel’s threats, I am asking the Court to permit me to appear virtually... I am concerned and scared for my safety."
The full email is printed below.
This court battle features the personal grievances between Weigel and Nottes and larger accusations of systemic corruption in the family court system. Weigel and another father, Robert Emert, have together claimed that family courts operate akin to criminal enterprises, focusing mainly on the unjust treatment and alleged child trafficking conducted under the guise of legal proceedings.
"Dave Weigel and I have unveiled substantial evidence pointing to what could only be described as designer child trafficking, orchestrated by those within the system," Emert stated. The use of artificial intelligence in their ongoing project aims to prove systemic abuse and trafficking within the family courts.
The FXB Center for Health & Human Rights at Harvard University supports claims that family and friends are responsible for over 50% of child trafficking cases. This statistic becomes particularly sinister in light of accusations that family courts are a venue for such activities disguised as legal custody battles.
Undeterred by the potential consequences of his court battle, Weigel remains focused on exposing what he describes as a deeply flawed and exploitative system.
"They label me a threat because I threaten their status quo, their comfortable exploitation of children and families," Weigel told reporters. He argues that the genuine threat is the court's ongoing abuse of power and disregard for parental rights.
In response to Nottes' recent accusations and email to the court, Weigel refuted the claims of threats and misconduct.
"This is nothing more than an attempt to silence me with baseless accusations. My fight is for the children and parents trapped by this corrupt system. Nottes’ fight is to keep his law license," Weigel asserted.
The legal community and general public are closely watching this case, as it involves high-profile individuals and touches on critical legal integrity and child protection issues. The outcome could have far-reaching implications for how family courts are perceived and operated nationwide.
Judge Tandra Dawson, overseeing the case, faces the challenge of balancing these allegations with the legal protections afforded to individuals in court. Her previous claims by Nottes - that she was called the "Bill Cosby of Family Court Judges" - have only added to the controversial nature of the proceedings.
As the court date approaches, all eyes will be on the Manhattan Family Court this Friday at 10:00 a.m. Advocates for reform and transparency in the family court system are calling on the public to observe the proceedings online and witness what Weigel and his supporters describe as "Designer Child Trafficking" in action.

I am writing to advise the Court of the following serious issue: Mr. Weigel posted to his public Facebook page accessible to the world (original post attached to this email), “Hey Everyone. Just thought of something. You know I’m walking up the exact same steps Thursday as TRUMP. Maybe I could do SOMETHING to get noticed.. THEN for some national coverage. 🤔🤔🤔”
In addition to his public social media threat, Mr. Weigel has also taken to his public Facebook page to continue to violate this Court’s Final Order of Protection in favor of Ms. Weigel, including just yesterday, and this Court’s January 4, 2024 Order (NYSCEF Doc. No. 269 at page 6 by posting court papers to the internet, social media, and by posting about the case, Ms. Weigel, and the subject children on the internet, social medial and all other media. Indeed, Mr. Weigel has posted on social media vile postings, including threatening Ms. Weigel’s employment, extorting Ms. Weigel, posts about Justice Dawson (referring to Her Honor as the “Bill Cosby of the legal world”), posts about counsel (me) wherein Mr. Weigel calls me a DESIGNER CHILD TRAFFICKER (all caps) and Mr. Weigel even goes so far as to post, “For THIS Marqui and Evo…Daddy must sign up….for jail…again. Maybe Rikers…again. Someone has to. For the next 8 and 10 year olds...about to lose their daddy..for other people’s money.” For the Court’s reference, the recent online story on the internet – in addition to his social media posts – is located at the following link
https://luthmann.substack.com/p/battle-with-corrupt-ny-family-court (further compromising Ms. Weigel’s employment as this hits right at the top when her name is put in google).
Given Mr. Weigel’s threats, I am asking the Court to permit me to appear virtually on MS Teams and not in the presence or physical vicinity of Mr. Weigel. At my last appearance in this case on January 4, Mr. Weigel was accompanied by two individuals, who we believe were also present to intimidate. He has already in the past threatened me and my daughter, and I am concerned and scared for my safety, which I suppose is the goal Mr. Weigel sought to achieve. I also view his threats as seeking to intimate this Court and undermine the process.
Respectfully,
Dan Nottes

I was one of the two men that went to support Dave at his last court appearance. I am a lifelong friend of his and we played many sports together in high school. I am also a divorced father and understand the situation he is in very well. I went to support Dave and not to intimidate anyone or anything. I find this Attorneys statement completely false and not rooted in any fact whatsoever. It is a false narrative made up for nothing but subjective theater. At no time did anyone in the court question me as to any potential threat or intimidation. I cannot believe that this statement was made. Is it wrong for another man to support his friend? Such a desperate statement and false assumption. Highly disturbing.
