After 5:00 PM, the parking on 38th Street is no longer commercial. After 6:00 PM, it becomes metered. But every night at 5:50 PM, cones are in place, and Sei Less’s man in a yellow vest guards spots.

The scandal doesn't end on the streets; it extends into Sei Less's glitzy interior, which draws celebrities and city elites, including Mayor Eric Adams and stars like Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg. Notably, the restaurant hosted an album release party for Mayor Adams' son, Jordan Coleman, in March 2023, indicating close ties with the city's power players.
