Forensic Psychiatrist Exposes Judge's Dangerous Misconduct

Distinguished forensic psychiatrist Dr. Bandy X. Lee, M.D., M.Div., has filed a judicial grievance challenging the conduct of Judge Jane Gallina-Mecca of the Bergen County Superior Court. The grievance, filed on January 15, 2024, and addressed to the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct, alleges severe judicial misconduct resulting in multiple fatalities.
Allegations of Misconduct and Resulting Harm
Dr. Lee's grievance opens with a chilling statement charging Judge Jane Gallina-Mecca's misconduct led to "multiple preventable murders.” Karen Arnone, the mother of a Family Court litigant who was murdered under Gallina-Mecca's watch, previously levied similar charges.
This introduction sets the tone for the grave accusations that follow. The judge is accused of "discounting evidence of domestic violence, removing permanent protective orders in place after trial under other judges, without proper examination of facts before doing so, or falsely accusing child abuse without evidence, due process, or trial, based on her personal impression alone."
Judicial Practices Endangering Lives
The grievance delves into the judge's alleged practices, stating, "These results are unsurprising, as Judge Gallina-Mecca has had a long and pervasive practice of placing victims of domestic violence deliberately in harm's way."
Dr. Lee underscores the gravity of these actions by referencing a legal opinion letter warning the judge against Constitutional violations. However, Dr. Lee said, "Consistently with her generally dismissive and disdainful attitude, she ignored the letter."
Accusations of Sadism and Coverup
The document further accuses Judge Gallina-Mecca of a "pattern of depraved, sadistic enjoyment in harming litigants," culminating in "multiple preventable murders.” As Dr. Lee points out, an alarming aspect of this pattern is "a pattern of aggressive coverup." She cites instances where the judge allegedly intervened to suppress published articles critical of her actions, an apparent infringement of First Amendment rights.
One legal department's response to such an order is quoted: "This order requires that the [referenced article] must 'be immediately removed, deleted, and unpublished'… I would appreciate hearing from you as to how the order possibly could apply to [Magazine], given that [Magazine] is not a party to this lawsuit... it would functionally be a presumptively unconstitutional prior restraint against ongoing publication."
Earlier Predictions and Warnings Ignored
Dr. Lee's earlier affidavit to the Committee, predicting these tendencies in Judge Gallina-Mecca, is noted for its foresight. The affidavit claimed, "Judge Gallina-Mecca has refused to accept—or even to admit into court record—critical, high-quality and copious medical information that is contrary to her fixed beliefs."
The document also highlighted the judge's inability to change her mind according to new evidence and consider the consequences of her actions.
The Call for Investigation and Action
Dr. Lee expresses frustration at the Committee's inaction despite "more than one thousand pages of medical and other documentary evidence, shunned by her Court, and now actual murders have surfaced." It is her third request in a little more than a year.
She implores the Committee not to overlook these "disturbing practices" and indicates that she will safeguard evidence "until there is confirmation that a serious investigation has begun."
Jill Jones Soderman, Executive Director of the Foundation for Child Victims of the Family Courts, calls Dr. Lee's actions "heroic." She says that by speaking the truth, Dr. Lee is at great personal risk from vindictive forces.
"The predators among us who project harm upon those who are exposing them pose a danger to the truth-speakers, children, and all who love and support them. These malevolent, pathological individuals are extremely dangerous," Jones Soderman said.

I would love to speak with you or Dr Lee! I have gone through 2 and a half years of the same and worse and I have so much evidence that may be helpful including but not limited to conflict of interest disregarded, collusion, forceful inadequate representation, absolute severe and atrocious injuries to my daughter ignored, allowing perjury on the stand under oath by her “forensic witness” again disregarded, illegally ordering my child to take the Covid vaccine, ordering my daughter to be breastfed with illicit substances present in the mothers system, forcing me to hand over my daughters original documents at penalty of suspending my parenting time, and ordering continued supervision on me even though DCPP dismissed our case as it was unfounded, violating the ADA by ordering a permanently disabled adult to do things against his doctors orders notes being provided, and knowing I’m indigent to pay for services at my sole cost to attain my parenting time.
