my name is Donna Tortora , youngest sister of John Tortora . I have just finished reading your article describing the horrible injustice he suffered . It’s comforting to know someone else saw how corrupt the government was in his case . I remember saying to myself how unbelievable this could be happening in America. I thought there were checks and balances in place in the judicial system . I can’t tell you the heartache and pain my family and I felt for my brother during this nightmare . Days after he was arrested I left my job as a teacher to help take care of his daughter . At the time he was taken from his home and accused of murder , his daughter was devastated and very fragile mentally . They held him without bail for two years before trial . I just prayed and prayed someone would stand up against the lying and corrupt cops and courts. I learned first hand how we the people who believed in our country can so easily become victims of our own government . I wish you luck in exposing the people responsible for targeting my brother and hope they are held accountable for what they did to him . Thank you
