The solution to this epidemic is to stop the state sponsored trafficking and unwarranted separations of children from their fit parents and families to begin with.

My second wife was alienated from her father most of her teenage years. Her 'reunification' with him took all of 20 minutes in a family restaurant after her mother finally acquiesced and agreed to let her see her father.

My son from my first marriage was alienated from me for nearly seven years. Our 'reunification' took all of 15 minutes after he was no longer under his mother's influence and control.

What we need is to get the state, 'family' court system and all of the so called 'experts' out of our lives. This starts by promoting shared and equal parenting as a standard, absent a finding of abuse or neglect in a court of evidence and law where due process, fundamental rights and federally recognized parental rights are recognized.

Instead of our broken and corrupt "family" courts, where false and manufactured claims of abuse, unwarranted separations of children and the criminalization of parenting are encouraged, promoted and rewarded. For profit and greed.

Absolutely agree...more people need to understand family court (the government) is not supposed to be this enmeshed in this most intimate arena of our private lives. Familial relationship are always going to be cyclical. The $1,000/hour "reunification therapists" are capitalizing on the "low moments" in a family's journey. And since they are grossly unqualified for any mental health role, they often destroy the opportunity for organic relationship repair that would likely occur without their intrusion.

I sat in the lobby of the " reunification therapy" office. The first meeting was the child yelling, screaming and crying. Trying to get their feelings be know. After a few sessions the father didn't show up. He said forgot about the appointment. How important was it to him to be reunited? I still had to pay for half that appointment. Expensive waist of time and emotional distress .

I would be happy to discuss this. I am an attorney and also have a degree in public health. I have sole custody in part due to PA by the mother.

More background in understanding the problem. The late former governor Jodi Rell placed Michelle Cruz in charge of the victim advocate office in CT. She blew the whistle on the batters programs in CT. As well as the injustice for victims in the state. Former governor Molley fired her. Before pleading guilty to curruption charges. Mike Lawlor called her unfavorable report " incoherent". The criminal justice reform projects, Connecticut is the leader on. It's all related to the family court system. Anyone who is criticizing the system is quickly removed and attacked. Tina, Jill, Joan Meyers to name a few. Julie Mingue 200 plus text with a restraining order and the prosecutor needs more? Axed to death in front of her children. Jennifer Dulos bogus by family court appointed psychologist . Kent Mawhinney' s x wife reported being raped and feared for her life . Not credible to the prosecutor's office. Cost savings for the state and funding for programs. After decades this is what the criminal justice reform looks like in Connecticut. The leader in criminal justice reform. This is what the family court system looks like after decades of advocacy of family court reform 50/50 . AFCC and alienation industry. These are the systems deciding on who is a fit parent. Looks like cost savings and funding is deciding who is fit. Not everyone is lying and not everyone is telling the truth. It's not just the attorneys. Perhaps a different motivation other than cost savings and funding should be guiding the judicial system. What is directing traffic at the court house?

I have a position on anyone who quotes Childress as an expert. Why are you citing quacks?

I was admiring your tenacity in protecting children from abuse in family court when I discovered that asking for a professional opinion on a blog's content on the issue of child abuse in family court is unwelcome. Is it foolish to ask for your professional evaluation of the blog's content without prejudice against the author?

What is your position on me? Please be as detailed as possible :-)

While you didn't ask for my opinion, you do realize that even Childress states the critical importance of getting a diagnosis "100% accurate," otherwise you are now the child abuser. What ethical mental health provider would make findings - with 100% certainty - that the only reason a child has rejected a parent is because the favored parent "alienated?" The answer is likely 0%.
