In this day and age, it appears we are back to the Victorian era where vengeful ex-husband’s locked wives away either in mental institutions or in prisons. The bench is weaponized however, the system is working exactly the way they want it to, it’s not broken. This is pathetic to do to a protective mother, and if you take it a step further, this is also affecting her children as well.
That’s such an important point, Maryann. In Lorton, Virginia, there’s a former women’s prison now an art studio and museum where the old watchtower from the 1800s still stands. Back then, women could be locked away just because their husbands claimed they were “hysterical” or disobedient. It’s disturbing how those same dynamics are still alive today in family courts. My daughter is currently fighting in New Jersey family court, where her ex’s influence and judicial bias have led to her being silenced, discredited, and denied basic rights all while she’s trying to protect her child. We’ve come a long way, but in many ways, it feels like we’re still fighting the same battle. Thank you for being an advocate for family court reform Maryann!
Thank you so much for telling me this and I’m very sorry about everything. There is no way family court can be reformed. It must be abolished. You cannot reform corruption. Judges are not looking at evidence. They’re not doing their jobs. I think a parent would have a better chance in civil court or if they wanted a jury they could have one.
I’ve followed Monica Ciardi’s case for over two years. What’s happening today in Essex County is not justice it’s persecution. Monica warned last October that powerful men in New Jersey were coming for her. Then she disappeared. We later learned she’d been jailed for five months, with no public explanation and no documented grand jury indictment.
Her case started in Morris County, where she was first arrested, then quietly shifted to Essex County. Why the change in venue? Why the secrecy? The same judges prosecuting Monica are also involved in retaliatory actions against my daughter in Morris County Family Court. This is not coincidence it’s a pattern of targeting protective mothers.
Judge Ravin is moving ahead with a plea deal that appears to have no constitutional foundation. Her attorney, a former prosecutor, reportedly took the deal for $15,000 while ignoring glaring legal red flags.
This system is broken—and it's being weaponized. We need a federal investigation into both Morris and Essex Counties. This isn’t just injustice. It’s systemic abuse.
The moment we gave judges the authority to override parental rights, we replaced natural order with judicial control. Whether you define God as the Creator or Good Orderly Direction, the truth is this: when authority is given without responsibility, it creates generational harm.
Courts now grant power to one parent, block the other, and call it justice—without accountability. That’s not protection, it’s coercion. The system rewards false narratives, silences dissent, and uses children as leverage.
Until we fix that core flaw—granting power without responsibility—nothing will change. Restore accountability to authority, and the system begins to heal.
Parental rights are sacred. Judicial discretion without restraint is dangerous.
