Wall Street Hero Dad Outs ‘Shyster’ NYC Attorney Daniel Nottes – Serial Dishonesty and Deception in Divorce Court
David Weigel, a Wall Street fiduciary and devoted father, battles systemic corruption in the Manhattan Family Court. Weigel accuses Attorney Daniel Nottes of using unethical practices that have transformed his divorce proceedings into a prolonged, agonizing ordeal. Nottes' manipulative tactics, including using ex parte orders and leveraging systemic biases in the Integrated Domestic Violence Court (IDVC), have led to multiple false arrests and strained Weigel's relationship with his children. Despite reaching a promising resolution with his ex-wife, Georgina Dimasin, three months ago, Nottes' return has reignited the conflict.
Weigel's investigation and personal documentation reveal a disturbing pattern of judicial favoritism and manipulation by Nottes. Our review of documents and interviews with litigants, lawyers, and insiders at the New York City Divorce Courts found substantial evidence supporting Weigel’s claims. Nottes, trained by the notorious divorce attorney Raul Felder, known as “The Misery Broker,” has used his training to manipulate the court system to his clients' advantage. This includes obtaining favorable rulings from friendly judges and delaying proceedings to maintain conflict and increase his fees.
Weigel has made numerous attempts to settle the case amicably for the sake of his children, offering Geogina Dimasin a generous settlement. However, influenced by Nottes and her boyfriend, Saurav Chatterjee, Dimasin has repeatedly backed out, keeping the conflict alive. Weigel believes that the Family Court's corruption and systemic biases drown out his claims, allowing Nottes to continue his unethical practices unchecked.
Weigel’s battle extends beyond his personal ordeal. He aims to expose systemic corruption within the family court system and protect other parents and children from similar experiences. Together with other advocates, he is building a coalition to push for reform. Despite the ongoing conflict, Weigel remains committed to his fight for justice and the well-being of his children.
"The eye of vigilance is the only way to keep everyone honest," Weigel said. He calls for open courtrooms and accountability, arguing that the public has a right to know what happens in these proceedings. His battle against Attorney Daniel Nottes and the corrupt family court system is a testament to his determination and resilience. Weigel’s story highlights the need for transparency, accountability, and systemic reform in family courts.
“I need to protect my kids. To do that we must hold accountable the people that deserve to be,” Weigel declared. “I’m a father first. This fight is far from over.”
